SwiftMD offers house calls and telemedicine calls with licensed, caring doctors from the comfort of your own home. If you are outside of the country you can book for your family members in Zimbabwe through SwiftMD. SwiftMD house calls are available in major towns throughout Zimbabwe including Harare, Mutare, Bulawayo, Gweru and Marondera. A swift special arrangement can be made when a patient in need falls beyond the nominated towns.

We have implemented safety measures for house calls to keep patients and medical teams safe: medical teams wear PPE (such as masks, gowns, and gloves), sanitize themselves and the equipment before and after each visit, and will sit 6 feet away from you, ideally in a well-ventilated private space, such as a back yard. You will also be required to wear a mask throughout the house call

If you have symptoms in keeping with COVID-19, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, body aches, or sore throat you will be required to have a telemedicine visit with us, before any house calls.

Yes, we can provide you with compassionate, ‘contact-less’ care using telemedicine. The majority of routine healthcare can still be carried out by SwiftMDs over telemedicine, with the same level of unhurried care experienced in all our house calls, from the comfort and safety of your home, away from the risks of contracting the viruses. 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week – including weekends and holidays.

You can use the SwiftMD website or other secure platforms to schedule a video call with your doctor or provider quickly and conveniently. If you don’t have access to video conferencing, you can connect with your doctor via a phone call using a landline or cell phone. Doctors or providers can order labs or imaging, write prescriptions, or refer you to specialists from these remote exams. Telemedicine makes it easier to be in contact with a medical doctor without the hassle of leaving the comfort of your home or office.

At SwiftMD, the safety of both patients and medical teams is of paramount importance. During a house call, SwiftMDs are fully equipped to care for any issue typically seen in a doctor’s office or urgent care facility. SwiftMD Team that comes to your door are always dynamic, standardly they will comprise solely of a licensed doctor or a licensed doctor and a certified nurse or nurse aid. The doctor is there to treat you and answer any medical questions that you might have. The doctor will also chart your vitals, draw labs, and run tests. A swiftMD house call is unlike any doctor’s appointment you’ve had before. A caring doctor will take the time to learn your health history to develop a care plan solely for you, address all the issues around your health including diet, fitness, and general lifestyle.

If you book a telemedicine call and then need a house call, you will be billed for both. Telemedicine calls are $20. The doctor can schedule the house call for you during the telemedicine call. The house call will incur a fee in addition to the original telemedicine call. Heal house calls are $65.

SwiftMDs are licensed and fully qualified medical doctors. They are trained on telemedicine and house call medicine and carry with them state-of-the-art tools and equipment.  SwiftMDs can organize an appointment with a specialist when and if the need arises.

Yes, after your house call simply log on to the SwiftMD website and go to the Visits section. Scroll to the visit card and press the “Set as Preferred MD” button. Next time you book, you’ll see your Preferred MD’s schedule first. You can set a Preferred Doctor for each family member. If you book via wifi of email you can state you preferred MD.
